ACC & FUNDED CLIENTS
Oranga Ahurewa is an ACC Registered Rongoā Māori Provider — VBJ376.
We provide Rongoā Māori services for kiritaki funded through ACC, Habit Health (Instep-EAP), Clearhead (EAP), Southern Cross Wellness, Tautoko Mai, Veterans’ Affairs and other approved providers.
If this is your first experience with Rongoā Māori, you are welcome to come as you are. You do not need to know which service you may need before coming to see us.
OUR SERVICES
Our services include Mirimiri (body work), Mahi ā-Wairua (spiritual wellbeing), Mahi ā-Hinengaro (mental and emotional wellbeing), Kōmiri (conversation where the kōrero itself is gently worked through, explored and unpacked together), and Rongoā Māori (herbal remedies using native plants of Aotearoa).
The support provided will differ from person to person depending on their individual needs. Not every session will look the same, and the support you receive may change throughout your approved sessions.
If you are unsure whether Rongoā Māori or the services we provide are right for you, you are welcome to make contact with us before seeking funding. We can kōrero with you about our services and answer any questions you may have.
THE PROCESS
1. Check your eligibility
Contact your funding provider directly to confirm your eligibility for funded Rongoā Māori services.
2. Your provider arranges approval
Once approved, your funding provider will send a Purchase Order to Oranga Ahurewa.
3. We make contact with you
Once we receive your Purchase Order, we will contact you directly regarding your first appointment.
4. ACC clients pay a $30 booking deposit
If your sessions are funded through ACC, a $30 booking deposit is required before your appointment is scheduled. The deposit can be paid securely through our website.
Your deposit rolls forward while you continue to attend your ACC appointments. If you need to change an appointment and provide at least 24 hours’ notice, your deposit will transfer to your rescheduled appointment.
If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not attend your appointment, your deposit will be retained. A new $30 booking deposit will then be required before another appointment can be scheduled.
When your ACC-funded sessions are completed, any active booking deposit that has not been forfeited will be returned to you.

5. We arrange your appointment
Once everything is in place, we will work with you to arrange a suitable appointment time and provide you with the information you need before attending.
